Observance of 'National Mourning Day' with due solemnity

Today, August 15, is a day of mourning for Bengalis. On this day in 1975, the nation lost the great hero of history, the father of the Bengali nation, architect of Bangladesh 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman' and his family. In order to observe this mournful day, Soil Resources Development Institute (SRDI), Dinajpur hoisted the national flag at half-mast at sunrise, placed floral wreath at the portrait of 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman' located in the premises of 'District Administrator's Office, Dinajpur' at 09:00 am, and organized a 'Commemorative and Doa' program at the office premises at 11:oo am. 
Officials and employees of all levels of the organization were present in the event. The event ended successfully by taking a pledge to work wholeheartedly in the building of Bangabandhu's dream of Sonar Bangla by turning grief into strength.
